Geoffrey Rush will provide the Voice of Tomar-Re in THE GREEN LANTERN

It's been confirmed that Academy Award winner Geoffrey Rush (The Kings Speech) will provide the voice of Tomar-Re in Warner Bros. new comic book film The Green Lantern. This is the character that teaches Hal Jordan how to use his new Green Lantern cosmic powers. I really wish I was more excited about this movie, but the first trailer that was released failed to impress a lot of movie and comic book geeks. Hopefully the next trailer shows us something better.

Warner Bros. is expected to make an official announcement soon, but Rush will join Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Mark Strong as Sinestro, it was also recently rumored that Michael Clarke Duncan may end up providing the voice of Kilowog. The Green Lantern is set to be released in 3D on June 17th 2011.
