SLEEPY HOLLOW Series Coming from Kurtzman, Orci, and Wiseman

Transformers writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, are shopping around a new TV series based on the legendary horror story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." Total Recall director Len Wiseman is set to direct the pilot of the series, which is "a modern–day supernatural thriller based on the legend of Sleepy Hollow. It follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow’s local female sheriff to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil."

The project is based on an idea by Phillip Iscove, who will co-write the series with Kurtzman and Orci. This seems like a no brainer. I can see a network picking this up in no time. I'll be shocked if they don't. TV series that center on horror, fantasy and the supernatural these days are doing very well. Kurtzman and Orci previously worked with Wiseman on the Hawaii Five-0 pilot, which Kurtzman and Orci co-wrote and Wiseman directed. Hopefully Sleepy Hollow will end up be better than that. I wasn't a big fan of that series. The two writers have also worked on the films Mission Impossible IIITransformers, and Star Trek

I love the story of Sleepy Hollow, I'm particularly a fan of Tim Burton's twisted version. I know this TV series won't be that, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out! There's some talented people working on it, and I think it has potential to be a solid show and a big hit with audiences.

What do you think about Sleepy Hallow getting its own TV series?
